Pelicans Need Extra Frames to Get Past Lone Stars
No one was more impactful than Noel Floyd in an extra-inning, 7-5 New Orleans win over Houston. Floyd, the first overall pick in the 2004 draft, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Pelicans win now puts them at 40-46.

Wes Ballenger drove in one run for New Orleans. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Vaughn Davis. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

In postgame remarks, Ballenger simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
