Dominant Performance by Simons in Mexico City Win
Robert Simons was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Estadio Tenochtitlan. In fact, the Mexico City Aztecs right-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-0 victory over the San Francisco Seals. Alfredo García, who finished 3rd in the CL in saves with 32 in 2013, earned the save for Mexico City. The last-place Aztecs hiked their record to 37-50.

Simons made it look easy. He scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 8-8.

"Robert throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Mexico City manager Jaime Martinez.
