Daniel Rocha, who finished 5th in the PL in ERA with 2.77 in 2013, imposed his will on the Locusts from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Kansas City triumph. Rocha got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. The win gives Kansas City a season record of 49-38.

Kansas City used the hitting of Mike Ruíz to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Jacks on top, 1-0. For the game, Ruíz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
