Aztecs Suffer 6-2 Road Loss
The San Francisco Seals used the hitting of right fielder Juan Vázquez to subdue the Mexico City Aztecs, 6-2. For the game, Vázquez was 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. San Francisco reliever Edgardo Morín picked up the win, raising his record to 3-1. Darby Funk was tagged with the loss. By defeating Mexico City, the 5th-place Seals improved to 41-49.

The Seals got a big at-bat from left fielder Manny Cantú. For the game, Cantú went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.

"It was a solid team effort," said Vázquez after the game.
