Salt Lake City turned a fine outing from starter Matt Cook into a victory over the Homer Yetis at Derks Field. The final score was 5-2. Mark Cahill, credited with the save, is now 18 for 22 in save opportunities. Homer's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Locusts picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"Matt pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Salt Lake City manager Nate McGinty.
