The home crowd had a good time watching the Las Vegas Strip and Austin Cowboys get after it.

The Austin Cowboys wanted a good start from Bill Simpson -- and he delivered one. The result was a 5-2 Austin win over the Las Vegas Strip at Clark Field. Las Vegas has now lost 5 straight.

Regardless of the outcome, those who came to Clark Field for the Pioneer League contest enjoyed being there.

"We had a good game plan," Simpson said, "and we were able to execute it."
