The Las Vegas Strip dealt the Austin Cowboys a 4-2 loss at Clark Field. Jay Hill, who is tied for 5th in the PL in doubles with 27, was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cameron Butler, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Charles Chandler picked up his 11th save of the season.

Hill had a timely hit for Las Vegas in the top of the sixth. With Las Vegas trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a bases-clearing double. It was his 27th double of the season, making it 3-2, Las Vegas.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Las Vegas manager Charlie Donovan.

Las Vegas, with the win, climbs to 23-68.
