The Reno Silver Sox got a sterling performance from right fielder Hayden Reese, but the Austin Cowboys still prevailed, 8-6. Reese went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Will Goodwin earned the save for Austin, his 19th of the year. The win boosted Austin to 49-46.

Austin catcher Julián Enríquez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 61st hit of the season and put the Cowboys ahead, 4-0.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Enríquez, "but we got it done."
