The first-place New Orleans Pelicans took on the Las Vegas Strip in front of a spirited crowd.

In the 10-6 New Orleans win over Las Vegas, the impact of Billy Bunch was substantial. Bunch, who is tied for 3rd in the PL with a .614 slugging percentage, was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Andre Parks, the winner, improved to 9-5. He held the Strip to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3.

New Orleans took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Bunch hit a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season made the score 6-3, New Orleans.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Bunch told the New Orleans Chronicle.

The first-place Pelicans, at 61-34, now lead their division by 4 games.
