Austin third baseman Dennis Peterson picked up 5 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Phoenix Fireballs, 7-6, in 11 innings. Larry Barber, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. Austin, now 50-47, holds down second place in the Pioneer League South.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Peterson delivered big-time for Austin, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Bu-wei Chen. The game-changing hit put the Cowboys on top, 6-5.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Peterson.
