Getting offensive support from Júlio Chávez, the Dallas Eagles topped the Salt Lake City Locusts, 11-2. Chávez went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Eagles. The triumph puts Dallas at 49-47 for the season.

Jordan Schoe had a big 2-run home run for the Eagles in the bottom of the third inning. With Dallas leading 3-2 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a curveball from Pete Howard, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in strikeouts with 118, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Eagles on top, 5-2.

"They just got us," said Salt Lake City manager Nate McGinty, "and that's all I can say."
