Angels Earn 5-4 Win Versus Seals
It took 10 innings, but the Los Angeles Angels were able to beat the San Francisco Seals, 5-4, at Ohlone Park. Joe Jackson provided some offensive muscle for Los Angeles. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 triples. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Jorge González earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 2-3. Bob García earned the save for Los Angeles, his 17th of the year.

Los Angeles used a timely hit from Neil Guillén to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Angels ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"This team is hotter than heck," said Los Angeles manager David K.
