Ports Win, 4-1, at Seattle
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Long Beach Ports and Seattle Rainiers.
Long Beach Ports pitcher Kyle Arnold was in fine form, leading his team past the Seattle Rainiers, 4-1. Arnold, now 7-10, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Jim Rogers earned the save, his 16th.
Long Beach used the hitting of Matt Oster to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ports on top, 3-1. For the game, Oster had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Kyle gave us a heck of an effort," said Long Beach manager Jordan K.
