The San Bernardino Stallions picked up a win at Oakland Ball Park, knocking off the Oakland Acorns, 8-5. Starting pitcher Masayoshi Tsuchiya was a big reason why. Tsuchiya got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jason Gore earned the save for San Bernardino.

San Bernardino used the hitting of Dave Zúñiga to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Stallions on top, 4-0. For the game, Zúñiga had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Masayoshi's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said San Bernardino manager Brick B.

The win cannot erase the fact that San Bernardino still has a disappointing 30-70 record.
