Millers Sneak By Yetis, 2-1

The Minneapolis Millers took Homer pitcher Tyler Dickinson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Nicollet Park. The final score had Minneapolis getting past the Yetis, 2-1. Dickinson went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 9. Koin Kogawa locked down his 2nd save. At 48-53, the Millers claim 5th place in the Pioneer League North.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when second baseman Arthur Beard hit a triple. The Millers went on to win.
"This was a tough loss," said Homer manager Drew Johnson. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
