Long Beach Gets 5-0 Road Win
Right-hander Cristo Alvarado mesmerized the Portland Beavers while leading the Long Beach Ports to a 5-0 victory. The Ports raised their record to 51-50.

Long Beach used a clutch at-bat from Steven Nolan to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ports ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I have a job to do," Alvarado said, "and I did it."
