Ballpark of San Jose was the site of a competitive game between the Sacramento Ironhorse and San Jose Owls.

Pitcher Alberto Barajas was sensational for the San Jose Owls in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Sacramento Ironhorse. Barajas earned the win. David Gómez earned the save for San Jose, his 16th of the year.

The Owls got a big at-bat from second baseman Armando Gutiérrez. For the game, Gutiérrez was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season gave San Jose a 2-0 lead.

"Watch and learn," said Gutiérrez. "This is what good pitching looks like."

The 4th-place Owls are 53-50.
