The Houston Lone Stars beat the Homer Yetis, 5-3, at Bombers Ballpark. Corey Hauser, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The last-place Yetis have lost 7 consecutive games.
Early in the game, Hauser had a 3-run home run for Houston. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Lone Stars on top, 3-0.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Drew Johnson.
