New Orleans and Minneapolis put this game in the books despite some rain.

The New Orleans Pelicans picked up a win at Nicollet Park, dropping the Minneapolis Millers, 6-4. Pedro Hardy, who finished 4th in the PL in wins with 16 in 2008, was the difference-maker. Hardy got the win, improving to 9-6. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Dan Williams earned the save for New Orleans, his 22nd of the year.

Richard Orr, who finished 3rd in the PL in extra base hits with 81 last year, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the New Orleans first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Pelicans in front, 4-3.
