Minneapolis Millers starter Dirk Veeck worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Salt Lake City Locusts, 4-0. The 5th-place Millers are 52-59.
Veeck, a native of Moultonborough, New Hampshire, was dealing all game. He kept Salt Lake City hitters off-balance, while giving the Millers 8.2 quality innings. Veeck threw 102 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 8.
