The Houston Lone Stars downed the Dallas Eagles, 8-0, at Burnett Field. The Lone Stars were led by Corey Hauser. Hauser hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Jackson Mendoza, who led the PL in strikeouts with 369 in 2011, was the winner. He's now 12-3. The loser was Richard Miller. The Lone Stars move to 64-47 with the win, while the Eagles drop to 51-57.

Bill McKnight had a big 2-run home run for the Lone Stars in the top of the second inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Richard Miller and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Lone Stars on top, 3-0.
