Rainiers Handed 3-1 Loss by San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Seals got a stellar performance from pitcher Matt Wright, who handcuffed the Seattle offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Ohlone Park. Wright yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. His record improves to 2-4. The Seals improved their record to 51-61 by beating Seattle.
Cliff Doss went 1 for 2 with 2 walks for San Francisco. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Tony Domínguez. It was his 16th walk of the season.
"Tough loss," said Seattle manager Ulrath Unclean. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
