Barry Jennings, who finished 5th in the PL in wins with 17 in 2013, was locked in. The left-hander led the Homer Yetis to a 6-5 win against the Salt Lake City Locusts at Derks Field. Homer is now 44-68, Salt Lake City 61-50.

Homer used a clutch at-bat from Johnny Jones to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Yetis ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Jones told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
