The Las Vegas Strip picked up a win at Banditos Ballpark, taking down the Austin Cowboys, 4-3, in 14 innings. On the mound for Las Vegas was right-hander Jesús García. He played a central role in the triumph. The Strip saw their win-loss record go to 33-78. At the same time, the Cowboys fell to 60-52.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Las Vegas catcher Jerry Sexton, facing Jorge Ayala, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Strip the 4-3 win.

"I like that statistic at the end of the game where there's another run for our team than the other team has," said winning manager Charlie Donovan.
