2015 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Homer Yetis.

The Salt Lake City Locusts coasted to a win over the Homer Yetis, 15-3. Chris Gibson had a good day at the plate for Salt Lake City. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Shawn Clark. He tossed 109 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits.

Fernando Gimarey had a big bases-clearing double for the Locusts in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Salt Lake City leading 6-3 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 33-year old right-handed pitcher José Esparza and swatted a double to left. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Locusts ahead, 9-3.

"No time for flexing," said Gimarey. "It's always one game at a time."

Salt Lake City is in third place in the Pioneer League North with a record of 62-50.
