Tom Huff had a good game, but he could not keep the San Bernardino Stallions from falling, 10-5, to the Los Angeles Angels at Wrigley Field. The San Bernardino left fielder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice in the loss. Jarred Nash was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The 4th-place Angels improved to 56-58.

Randy Sterling had a big 2-run double for the Angels in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Phil Prosser and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 29th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 4-1.
