Angels Rally For 4-2 Win
|
Los Angeles pitcher José Fuentes had a large part in his team subduing the Oakland Acorns, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Don Follett recorded his 2nd save for Los Angeles. Oakland is 8-4 after the defeat.
Los Angeles took a 3-2 lead on Kieran Kerr's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Kerr hit in the top of the eighth, left Oakland pitcher Larry Strong visibly frustrated.
Oakland manager Larry G said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
