Austin third baseman Dennis Peterson contributed significantly to his team's 8-5 win over the Las Vegas Strip. Peterson, who is tied for 6th in the PL in stolen bases with 22, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cowboys. The winning pitcher was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Martínez. He tossed 102 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits.

Austin won the game in part because of Bradley O'Harly. The first baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Cowboys ahead, 5-1. For the game, O'Harly had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
