The Denver Grizzlies overcame a good performance by Minneapolis first baseman Kenny Lawrence to knock off Minneapolis, 5-4, at Jellystone Park. Lawrence was 2-4 with a home run. Carlos García hit a solo home run off Dave Simpson in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Grizzlies ahead, 5-4. In addition to the homer, García had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
