Booth goes 4-for-5 to Fuel Owls Offense
The San Jose Owls knocked off the New Orleans Pelicans, 6-5, at Higgins Park. Tommy Booth was a big reason San Jose won. The first baseman was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Adrian Mattingly snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 1.1 innings. He's now 5-3 on the season. David Gómez, credited with the save, is now 18 for 22 in save opportunities.

Center Fielder Pat McCord made an impact for San Jose, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Pedro Hardy in the top of the fourth. For the contest, McCord was 1 for 4 with a double.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said San Jose manager Sean Hogan.

The Owls improved to 62-54.
