Long Beach first baseman Ming Loong was sensational. He went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Homer beat the Ports, 5-4. Orlando García picked up the win, lifting his record to 12-8 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 3 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. After today's action, Homer sits at 47-70; Long Beach slips to 57-58.

Daniel Clements had a big run-scoring double for the Yetis in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Homer leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Vic Sun, who leads the CL in holds with 16, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yetis ahead, 4-1.

When asked about his performance after the game, Clements said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
