In a low-scoring contest between the Mexico City Aztecs and the Denver Grizzlies, Darby Funk, who finished 4th in the CL in ERA with 2.64 in 2010, proved to be the difference. The Mexico City right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Aztecs win. The winner was Funk. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Andre Parks. Alfredo García was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 31 of 34 save opportunities.

With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Jorge Villa put Mexico City in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Aztecs went on to win the ballgame.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Villa told the Mexico City News.
