Millers Pull Out Late-Game Win, 1-0
The San Francisco Seals got a superb performance from pitcher Dennis Tipton. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minneapolis. The Millers won the game, 1-0. Tipton threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Dan Rochefort claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-1. The Millers now own a record of 55-64.

José Vásquez came through with a big-time hit for Minneapolis. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vásquez said after the game.
