Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Las Vegas Strip and Reno Silver Sox.

The Las Vegas Strip defeated the Reno Silver Sox in 11 innings, 6-4, in part because of center fielder Nick Pritchard. Pritchard was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Strip. Charles Chandler notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0.

Raúl Ramos came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Las Vegas manager Charlie Donovan commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."

Reno falls to 1-1.
