The timely hitting of Manuel Garza helped the Reno Silver Sox down the Salt Lake City Locusts, 12-8. Garza went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Silver Sox. The Locusts drop to 6-9, as their fitful start to the 2016 campaign continues.

Steven Gardner, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Reno in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
