The Homer Yetis took on the Salt Lake City Locusts at Derks Field.

Homer turned a good effort from starter Alfonso Hernández into a win over the Salt Lake City Locusts at Derks Field. The Yetis won the game, 5-0. Hernández picked up the win for Homer, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2.

Daniel Clements was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Homer. The 30-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Matt Cook. It was his 16th hit of the season.

"I love playing this game, so you'll never see me not want to go out there and pitch," said Hernández.

The loss puts Salt Lake City at 8-10.
