The San Francisco Seals defeated the Portland Beavers, 7-6, in part because of third baseman Raúl Tamayo. Tamayo was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Seals. Freddy Mercado closed out the game, earning his 6th save. The Seals, now 12-6, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Tamayo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Riley Green, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Seals a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Tamayo.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said San Francisco skipper Jamming Econo.
