Sacramento pitcher Dirk Veeck did his part in helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Angels, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Picking up the save was Scotty Hudson, his 2nd. Sacramento, with the win, is 13-5.

Alberto Díaz had a big 2-run triple for the Ironhorse in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Sacramento leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Francisco Villalobos, who finished 4th in the CL in innings pitched with 217.0 last year, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ironhorse ahead, 3-0.

"Everything seems to be clicking right now for us, top to bottom," said Sacramento manager RR Zayx.
