Poole Hits 2 home runs in Beavers Win
The Portland Beavers topped the San Jose Owls, 7-5, with left fielder Jim Poole playing a big role. Poole belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Beavers in the win. The Owls fall to 8-16 and continue their wobbly start to the 2016 season.

Poole contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Portland in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-1, Poole took a fastball from David Gómez and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Beavers to leap in front, 4-3.

"We didn't play well enough to win," San Jose skipper Sean Hogan said.
