Cowboys Fall Short, 3-2, at Dallas
|
The Dallas Eagles started the 2016 season win an impressive 3-2 win against the Austin Cowboys at Burnett Field. Cecil Rivera, who finished 2nd in the PL in innings pitched with 238.0 in 2014, led the way for Dallas. Fred Davis wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Greg van Rossum went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI for Dallas. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Rafael Concepción. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
