Breakers Win, 4-1, Versus Ironhorse
|
The San Diego Breakers picked up a win at Perris Hill Park, topping the Sacramento Ironhorse, 4-1. On the mound for San Diego was right-hander Álex Cabrera. He played a principal role in the triumph. Cabrera yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Picking up the save was Paco Juárez, his 1st.
San Diego center fielder Roberto Camacho contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Breakers ahead, 3-1.
San Diego manager RT Smith said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
The loss drops Sacramento to 15-10.
