Locusts Lose to Yetis in Walk-Off
|
Homer Yetis starter José Esparza was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Salt Lake City Locusts, 2-0. Homer reliever Manuel Sánchez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Al Brown took the loss. Homer is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 11th win in 29 games.
Homer won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Al Brown on the mound for Salt Lake City, pinch hitter Barry Jennings hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Yetis fans to their feet.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Esparza.
