Alex Aucoin of the St. Joseph Riders shut out the Duluth Dukes, 1-0, at Henderson Grounds, holding them to 2 hits with no walks and 13 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Duluth skipper called the outing from Aucoin "a jewel."
"The way Aucoin was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
