|
Steve Dickerson bent a little, but he didn't break against the Rolla Blades. The Duluth Dukes pitcher hurled a 3-hit, 1-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 4 walks and tallying 10 strikeouts.
"Steve is good at getting out of jams," Dukes manager told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
Checking out his stats for the season, Dickerson has notched 13 wins and 9 losses in 27 starts. His ERA is 2.34 and he's struck out 210 batters in 188.1 innings.
