Riding the 4-hit performance of the three-time Platinum Glove Award winner Otto Reed, the Reno Silver Sox stopped the Long Beach Ports, 5-2, in 9 innings. With the win, Reno climbs to 15-17.

It could have been a different outcome for Reno, had it not been for Culley Delaney, the three-time All-Star . Delaney contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Reno up, 2-1.

Reno manager Zach Ames was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
