Kansas City pitcher Xu-gang Lau had a large part in his team subduing the Salt Lake City Locusts, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Salt Lake City drops to 2-2.

Mike Ruíz had a big run-scoring double for the Jacks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Kansas City leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from Bob García, who signed a 2-year contract worth $8,850,000 on 02/19/2016, and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jacks ahead, 4-2.

"We played hard and won," said Lau. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
