Las Vegas Strip starter Héctor Peña found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Salt Lake City Locusts. Picking up his 1st save was 30-year old left-handed pitcher Charles Chandler. The win moves Las Vegas to a record of 2-2.

Raúl Ramos helped out the Las Vegas cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4.

Las Vegas manager Charlie Donovan commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
