Las Vegas Drops Another One, 7-4
|
Reno center fielder Jesús Salcido had a 5-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Las Vegas Strip, 7-4. Salcido picked up 1 single and 1 double in the ballgame. The third-place Silver Sox have won 4 straight.
There was more than one reason the Silver Sox beat the Strip, but Salcido's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Las Vegas manager Charlie Donovan.
