Cowboys Get Dramatic 5-3 Triumph
|
The Austin Cowboys knocked off the Salt Lake City Locusts by the score of 5-3. Wilson Pérez provided some pop, going 3-for-4 with 1 home run. Austin pitcher Will Goodwin got the win. He's now 2-1. Mark Cahill was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Austin at 20-21, while Salt Lake City falls to 18-22.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Pérez hit a fastball from Mark Cahill for a 2-run home run. The Cowboys, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Pérez said.
