Eagles Win at Home, 5-2

Dallas turned a good effort from starter Leroy Matthews into a win over the Austin Cowboys at Burnett Field. The final score was 5-2. The Eagles, now 21-23, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
The Eagles got a big at-bat from center fielder Júlio Chávez. For the game, Chávez went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season gave Dallas a 1-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Dallas skipper Cameron J.
